Ballymaloe Relish & Whiskey Beans on Toast

An appropriate way to have whiskey for breakfast? Where has this recipe bean all my life? Although this is a super quick and easy recipe, it’ll allow you to show off with this bougie modern version of the classic staple. So go on, treat your other half this weekend and show them how much they "bean" to you.


- 400 g Butterbeans

- Half a jar of Ballymaloe Relish

- 2 Tbsp Tomato Puree

- 60 ml of whiskey

- Juice of Half a Lemon

- Teaspoon of Brown Sugar

- Heaped tsp French Mustard

- Cheese (optional)

Step 1

- Preheat the oven to 180c

- Combine all ingredients into and oven-proof pot and mix together

- Bake for 35 minutes
