Glutinous Grilled Cheese Sambo – Honey Goats Cheese with Whiskey & Maple Back of Bacon

Is there anything more comforting than a gooey, warm, melt in mouth grilled cheese sandwich? Yes there is. A gooey, warm, melt in mouth grilled cheese with thick cut bacon sizzled in a maple and whiskey sauce. Try out this quick and easy gourmet twist on the grilled cheese.


2 slices of bacon

1 tsp Maple Syrup

1 tsp whiskey

Multi-Grain Bread

Goats Cheese

Apple (Granny Smith)

15 g Butter

What You Need

Non Stick Frying Pan


Step 1

- Mix Maple Syrup & Bourbon in a bowl

- On medium-high heat, cook bacon on one side for a couple of minutes – flip – and brush whiskey mix on – cook for one more minute

Step 2

- Melt butter on the pan

- Place a slice of bread on the pan, add cheese, bacon, 4 apple slices, add some more cheese

- Butter the other slice of bread facing up.

- When browned, flip
